I have trained with the University of Worcester as part of my Birth and Beyond Degree to become a Breastfeeding Counsellor and someone who is able to offer feeding and breastfeeding support to mothers, partners and their babies.
As well as providing private feeding support, I facilitate antenatal feeding sessions for the National Childbirth Trust (NCT) and postnatal planning sessions for parents who wish to find out more about preparing to feed their babies.
For some, breastfeeding may not come as naturally as it does for others and some extra support is needed along the way.
We also know that eight out of ten mothers will stop breastfeeding before they want to. The reasons for this include a lack of access to support services in the community and at work, cultural barriers and misinformation (UNICEF).
I am here to support you however you choose to feed your baby and believe everyone should be supported on their feeding journey.
This often starts with listening to your story and your experience and understanding any challenges or specific feeding goals, whether this is breast or bottle, breastmilk or formula or a combination of these.
Get in touch and we can have a chat about how things are going for you, antenatally or postnatally.
